ex: I have a fear of being at the aquarium and falling into the deep dark glowing water with all the different fish… and like they swim up to me… shudder.. š its kinda funny when i think about it..
My weirdest fear is that even though I seem perfectly normal to myself, I am, in truth, odd, abnormal, cognitively and/or socially impaired and I am just too “out of it” to even notice — and everyone knows it except for me — but no one will ever say anything about it to me because (they think) they are being nice.

thts really funny cuz I was gonna write fish but not limited to that scenario, I’m scared of all kinds dead or alive and of course I would never eat it…can’t even handle the smell.
i’m terrified of cats- it’s not really weird but i am really afraid of them and i dont really know why. i would cross the street if i saw one down the block. one time one was just sitting under a car in front of my house i refused to go off my porch until i was sure it moved!
My weirdest fear is that I am really an elephant and I just don’t realize it because I am a crazy elephant.

Yes, since a cat once snarled at me and arched itself ready to pounce just because I walked past when it was busy- I didn’t mean to startle it.
Only ISRAELI cats!!!
You can shoo them, stamp your feet, yell at them…
and they just look at you, they don’t move!
So if one is sitting by your front door, you have to either have the guts to walk right up to, and right by them, or be prepared to spend some time outside!
WM, I think e v e r y o n e has that fear to some degree (me 2). Thats probably what contributes to us wanting to conform/stay in line, as opposed to giving in to asstd. crazy impulses now and then, which some do.

Even as a kid whenever we were roughhousing even in a playful manner, if anyone touched or brushed against my neck(and s/t head) I would feel the blood drain from my head and I would panic- this was totally subconscious- I still get the feeling s/t if I get touched on my neck.
I have this fear that I will be a doctor if I grow up. I don’t want to be a doctor.

My weirdest fear is of subway doors closing on me. yes i know they open and dont close on people but i have this crazy fear of the train driving away while my skirts like stuck in the door and dragging me along…. whenever im on the train im always the 1st one to run off/ get on the train..

My biggest fear is my shadow. That’s why I’m a CR fan, no shadow here.
s2021 I’m not afraid of the smell I just really don’t like it and if I smell it I know that the actual fish can’t be too far away.
It changes as I grow older. I used to have a fear of elevators, I got over it. I used to fear dying, I got over it. I used to fear surgery, really, really terrified and couldn’t understand why anyone would have elective surgery. Unfortunately I am the “Queen” of surgery at this point, so obviously I got over it. I have a real true sense of bitachon and emunah that I can’t really put my finger on any real fear at the moment.

If its any consolation, I think I spotted you on the train about 6 months ago, and from listening to the bits and pieces of the conversation you were having with your co-worker (?) and the overall general impression you make, trust me, you are squarely in the top 80% of social / normal / not out of it folks.
Add the smarts, the baal koreh talent, the photos, the green meatballs, and your closer to the top 90%
(ok, maybe the green meatballs a bit out there).
Besides, if you were weird, we’d tell you.

I don’t usually take the train with co-workers or other people. Most of the time on the train I’m with my Ipad either writing, reading, watching/listening to a photography podcast or a shiur.
Just out of curiosity, however, what made you think the person was me?

I am terrified of a middle of the night fire(especially electrical). Really petrified- I obsess about it every night before going to sleep.
i have a fear,-might sound funny-1)cutting with a knife, i might cut my hand.2)bathing a baby,i might drop it in the water.3)baking a cake, i might flop it.4)crossing the street,maybe the car will hurt me.6)looking in the mirror, maybe i gained weight.last but i not least, going to sleep,will i wake up?

My biggest fear is that I’ll get abused by my husband.
Oh, and I’m PETRIFIED of drunks. I mean REAL scared. I used to have nightmares in December cuz Purim was SOON comin’ up:(
I’m absolutely petrified of fire. Once during havdalah my shirt caught fire and since then I’m beyond scared. I’m also scared of dogs and cats. Also drunk people and cars (I’m going to be driving soon so I don’t know how I’ll do it).

And i dont know if i would call this a fear, but i have a weird relationship with lox. i hate it. it scares me! all slimy and pink like that… <shudders>

I’ve gotten phobic riding in cars, mainly front passenger seat, but especially in vans.. afraid of crashing. (never been in an accident, B’H, bli ayin hora).
a number of years ago I went for behavior modification, but it wasn’t successful cuz I felt like the therapist was using some tv/movie hypnosis-style techniques, & I couldn’t take him seriously. back then it was just vans, but now it’s also cars š

I cringe sometimes when i look at the running garbage disposal. I imagine my hand being sliced….uuuhhh
I dont worry about much but one thing I feel very uncomfortable with is when I’m in water that is not clear. (lake, pond, ocean, etc.) I can live with it but don’t really enjoy it.

…you might want to avoid walking under planes for the same reason… š

binahyeseira: don’t be scared, I did too. Take a look at my ‘Do Not Reply’ thread. It happens. People get over with it. We continue living (I’m live I hope, wait a minute… yes, I am).
i think i can honestly say thay i dont have any fears!
