I don’t follow politics extensively and don’t know much about him, but I’ve heard him speak and he sounds extremely intelligent and articulate-more so then any of the other contenders. So why is he trailing so much?

Bad history (and worse publicity from the liberal press) from when he was in office, as speaker of the house.

Inyana DiYoma. Skeletons in the closet (and some already out).

That didn’t seem to pose a problem for Slick Willy. The American public was very forgiving and even identified with it. Why the distinction?

Did he apologies? What happened to forgive and forget. He seems like a straight shooter with more seichel than all the nominees combined.

“wasnt slick willy the dead pirate in the goonies?”

Yes-They named him after Bill Clinton.

He is clearly the most knowledgeable about American and global history and government, and with a good track record in balancing budgets. He is likely the best candidate to handle things in a crisis of almost any kind. His Contract with America, which is his electoral platform and can be found on his website, is a 26 page document describing his solutions in all areas of presidential leadership. His position on Israel is strong and founded in understanding of history. (He claims he will move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem on his 1st day in office).

That being said, he has 2 problems in getting elected. 1) he is not warm & fuzzy and doesn’t cozy up to the press, actually he rankles them. He has a rough manner that bothers people. and 2) He has a difficult past in terms of ethical matters, but he seems to have done a sort of teshuva. So the question is, do we need an (ostensibly) clean candidate or can we live with someone who made mistakes and admitted them, and seems to have changed?

Clinton was not running for the Republican namination. If he would he would loose big time.

deiyezooger I couldn’t agree more. The most powerful entity in this country is the media, and they are run by the liberals.

EzratHashem Thanks for the clarification. Basically he doesn’t know how to bs like Obama, and that seems to count more than skill talent.

He doesn’t sound presidential plus he’s been around for eons. the trend is to go with an up and comer. He is also to the right of the Rep. and the trend is more to the middle. Otherwise he is intelligent. I have read some of his books, very well written.

True, in the age of yearning for the latest new device people have little use for something or someone who has been around a while. Also true he is more right leaning–I heard him say he couldn’t trust a person’s judgement if the person doesn’t pray. Anyway, the country votes polish not substance, so Gingrich will have a tough run.

Newt Gingrich can’t get elected because he is an immoral hypocritical lowlife. While he was going after Clinton for his shenanigans he was doing the same thing Clinton was except his wife was in the hospital with cancer. He then proceeded to give his wife divorce papers while she was in the hospital to run off with someone else.

Then he says things that make him sound like a G-D fearing person while self rightously smearing Clinton for something he himself was doing…. what a disgusting creep!

Is it possible that he has changed and become a religious person, or does the sin he committed years ago preclude him from ever being regretful and changing?

Well he did the same thing TWICE to two diffrent wives (he is on his third now-who is 23 years younger then him) and while he was fooling around the second time he was acting all self rightous and horrified that Clinton was doing what he was doing…..So I (and many other people) would tend not beleive anything that comes out of his mouth now….
