We all agree words are extremely powerful, for better or for worse.

I personally remember remarks (both positive/negative)that affected the way I viewed myself or others. For example,as teenager,I remember someone telling me,”If I had a smile like that,I’d use it all the time!”That person knew what worried me at the time, but that worked like magic.I still think my smile is a gift.

Conversely,an adult once told me as a young child,”Your voice is pounding in my head!!”Granted, that person had some emotional issues, and no one else in the world besides that person ever told me that…I still worry from time to time if my voice is at a normal decibel.

Well anything positive anyone ever tells me gives me a high. A real high. Like, I thrive on it for days and days.

When I was 11 years old, someone in camp told me that when I sing I sound like a some other boy in camp. I really didn’t like that boy’s voice. since then, I stopped singing in public.

Someone once told me that I’m a big perfectionist. Once I realized the truth in her words, I became even more of a perfectionist because I’m always thinking into it and living up to it.

I believe when someone says “I love you” and means it, it changes you in some way.

neither sentence nor conversation, but anyway:

    when i was perhaps 5 or 6 or 7

i was riding in the car coming back from vacation with my parents

bored and looking out the window

watching trees buildings and other cars go by, watching the scenery

part of the scenery passing by, i saw a car going in the other direction with a little boy looking out the window watching the scenery. he was just part of the scenery to me

and i realized that to him i was just part of the scenery.

and i realized i wasnt the center of the universe.

    Along the lines of 80…

In 10th grade, in Earth Science we were learning about the stars and constellations etc… I have never felt so insignificant in my entire life.

Don’t look at what someone else has, what they have you wont get and what you have will be taken away from you.

Well, all throughout my childhood, people have told me that my smile always make other people happy. So since then, I try to smile at others. I see it also made me into a happier and more positive person. 🙂

“hey did you hear of the CR?”

Oooh, do I feel that one.

Last summer, someone mention the CR in a Friday night get-together of about 6-8 people. I said nothing, but my wife shot me a look that could freeze a river.
