December 23, 2010 6:22 pm at 6:22 pm #720510MDGParticipantIt is hard for people to have to remember all the details about all the people that we meet, so we create categories with names for those categories.

December 23, 2010 10:12 pm at 10:12 pm #720525blueberrymuffinParticipantHow else would you give info for a shidduch?
“So let’s see…He’s chassi- Oh,I’m sorry,he has a rebbe, and goes to the tish every week and went to a yeshiva where all the other bochurim also have rebbes and are part of a group of ppl who share the same rebbe…” you get the picture! Sometimes it is necessary to define ppl and it is almost impossible to do so without using “labels”.
December 23, 2010 10:25 pm at 10:25 pm #720526eclipseMember“fine”–aidel
