“To Coffee Addict – Do you have any questions for me?“
Sorry can’t follow this thread (can’t even find if I posted to this thread)
Trying to find your reply to my question thoughJanuary 19, 2021 2:14 pm at 2:14 pm #1940312
Yesr -“I welcome being corrected, but I still fail to see how we can classify an avaryan as being a good person just because there’s a different avaryan who may be worse”
You are so confused!
We are not Hashem, but we are saying it’s clear who to vote for & that is Trump.January 19, 2021 2:59 pm at 2:59 pm #1940319
@Health I don’t see it as being clear at all. I see a man who has committed numerous acts which are condemned by the Torah, even if most aren’t to the extent that would make him chayiv misa. I see a man who’s morals and public policies change on a whim, depending on who would vote for him. I see a party willing to support such a man. I see a government that has near-unanimously decided that all sorts of to’eyvos are OK. And I have yet to see a good Torahdik reason why either party is any better.January 19, 2021 3:08 pm at 3:08 pm #1940341January 19, 2021 7:54 pm at 7:54 pm #1940413
Yesr -“I don’t see it as being clear at all”
That’s your problem!
How could anybody equate the DemonCrats to the Republicans nowadays?
The DemonCrats believe in being Oiver 2 out of 3 Aveiros Chmuros – Mishcav Zochor and Abortion.
And maybe the 3rd if being an Atheist is Oiver Avodah Zorah!January 19, 2021 11:52 pm at 11:52 pm #1940451
@health So now the one and only criteria on who is a candidate sent from Shomayim and who is literally pure Re’shoim is based on how many Aveiros Chmuros they are oiver based on a limited view of Mitzvos Bnei Noach? I can make the same arguments that the Republicans refused to act on COVID thus being oiver on Hariga. Or having a First Lady who was openly a mezaneh.
I implore you, look at what Rav Shach ZT”L would say when he would speak on the eve of a big election. Neither party is “good”, we just have to daven that whoever wins will at least be good for the Yidden in some ways.January 20, 2021 8:58 am at 8:58 am #1940578
@commonsaychel According to @health, the only criteria we should be looking at when discussing a goys morality is whether they are oiver on mitzvos B’nei Noach. I don’t believe Dr. Levine has been, at least not publicly (unless there’s some eating the leg of a live cow I’m unaware of) so there’s not a problem in that regard.January 20, 2021 9:31 am at 9:31 am #1940595
Richard Levine is a JewJanuary 20, 2021 11:52 am at 11:52 am #1940639
@commonsaychel I am unaware of any aveiros that Dr. Levine publicly flaunts. And if you can list any, I’m certain I can find an equal or greater number of Jewish Trump appointees that have also committed aveiros.January 20, 2021 12:03 pm at 12:03 pm #1940642

You are a typical Liberal Liar!
I never said that.
I wrote -“How could anybody equate the DemonCrats to the Republicans nowadays?”
Because you wrote –“I don’t see it as being clear at all”.
If you think that you can vote for DemonCrats, with their promotion of Aveiros Chmuros, you are More than Sadly Mistaken!January 20, 2021 12:08 pm at 12:08 pm #1940646
Yesr -” I am unaware of any aveiros that Dr. Levine publicly flaunts.”
Please tell me that you Never learnt in a Yeshiva!
Ever hear of Lo Silbash?!?January 20, 2021 5:06 pm at 5:06 pm #1940796
@health Look up RASHI and the meforshim on that mitzvah. It’s not clear that Dr. Levine is being oiver it. Besides, how many mechalelei Shabbos and achilei tarfus did Trump have in the White House? Where’s your condemnation on him because of them?January 20, 2021 5:49 pm at 5:49 pm #1940819
Yesr -“Besides, how many mechalelei Shabbos and achilei tarfus did Trump have in the White House?”
In spite of your absurd Post, I’ll respond.
There’s something called Tinuk SheNishba.
Since the ’70 – ’80’s, when the LBGT and whatever else they call themselves, this Excuse can’t apply because they all “Came Out”; so there is no excuse that they didn’t know there was something Wrong with it!January 21, 2021 8:50 am at 8:50 am #1941083
@Health Dr. Levine grew up mostly secular, with little to no concept that Yiddishkeit should take precedence over whatever society deems morally correct this week. I think Tinuk SheNishba is the perfect description.January 21, 2021 10:29 am at 10:29 am #1941108
@Yserbius: check your facts before giving your opinion.
As a Jewish youth growing up in a Jewish household in Wakefield, Mass., having a bar mitzvah, attending Hebrew school and attending a conservative shul, Levine said the rabbi did not talk about LGBTQ issues. He is very Jewishly aware.January 21, 2021 4:02 pm at 4:02 pm #1941214
Yesr -” Dr. Levine grew up mostly secular, with little to no concept that Yiddishkeit should take precedence over whatever society deems morally correct this week”
Your sillingness Really doesn’t deserve a response, but I’ll give one anyways because you might have influenced others.
The Din of Tinuk Shenisba is because how would a Frey Jew know that there is something wrong with Eating pig because e/o goes to McDonald’s and buys HAMburgers!
If at least Half the World says there is something wrong with being LGBTQ, it Now becomes your responsibility to find out what the Torah says!
Saying that you didn’t know – is Not an Excuse!
