Any good ideas to go away for a few days with my wife without jumping on a plane. Somewhere within a few hours of queens.

chanuka vacation, how about switching apts. with friends. you get to see and visit new neighborhoods, and no need to pay $, you pay for food. this is for pple who cant afford hotels.

Montreal or Quebec City…Mt Tremblant has a chabad house if you want to try some skiing 🙂

I know people who went to Rocking Horse ranch, and they were very happy. Not to $$ and not too far from NYC.

If you’re the outdoor winter sports type, this is a good place to consider

Yeah, why not try out the Ice Hotel in Quebec City, Canada? The entire hotel is carved from ice, including your beds, which you sleep under fur sleeping bags. Its only about $549 per person to freeze for a nice weekend. If you don’t believe it you can see
