why is ywn more anti-chareidi than cnn, ynet, and haaretz? last time i checked this was supposedly a (GASP!!!)CHAREIDI website. I don’t sgree with what’s going on in Eretz Yisrael and we should speak out against it but YWN seems to be becoming a hotspot for collective Chareidi bashing. there are posters here that unabashingly blast Gedolei Torah. can this website please live up to its nameJanuary 1, 2012 2:42 pm at 2:42 pm #840901yechezkel89Member
1st of all there is no charedi bashing that is occurring most people that frequent this site (including you i hope) are upset @ the tremendous chilul Hashem the kanaim are causing and not enough of an adequate response by the chareidi gedolim denouncing these disgusting people.
some of the “gedolei torah” that are in the posters may not be gedolie torah, a gadol betorah would denounce what is going on
so far i have heard only a select few do thatJanuary 2, 2012 2:01 am at 2:01 am #840902
Hey Yechezkel -Are you reading the posts or are you just defending them? I agree with Mexipal -the bashing of Charedim here is non-stop and truly unbelievable!January 2, 2012 4:33 am at 4:33 am #840904adamsParticipant
no its not. the site is reporting news. do you want to surpress the almost daily Chareidish violence in Israel?
The news is very distressing and anguish building to frum people. People who love Jews. WHo dont’ curse at them because they think that their Tzitzis are not correct or the Tznious is not correct.
These demonstrations and violence, don’t stop and should be discussed and reported.
I hope the YWN will continue to report these criminal acts in EY and the reasons that so called frum Chareidim could do such things as throwing excrement and spitting on women and girls and
humiliated them verbally, thus breaking many laws, yet they get away with it, they are not jailed for long time as they should be, this is an outrage.January 2, 2012 3:43 pm at 3:43 pm #840905
adams – She was talking about the posters, not the news articles!January 2, 2012 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm #840906kfbParticipant
I don’t see how this site charedi bashing. This is how true chareidim feel, we are against people taking the law onto their own hands! We are against segregation on public! We are against people who twist the Torahs word around so they can make a place for them.to live. So don’t you dare say YWN is chareidi bashing!January 2, 2012 5:13 pm at 5:13 pm #840907
kfb -“So don’t you dare say YWN is chareidi bashing!”
We weren’t talking about those posts. We are talking about all the posts that Charedi Bash!
Go back and read all of them before you open your mouth!January 2, 2012 5:27 pm at 5:27 pm #840908adamsParticipant
again what is Chareidi bashing?
I have not seen any posts that say for example, all chareidim are spitters, etc.
I happened to servers in IDF with several Chareidim very nice people all of them. quiet and helpful. My first job in life was only because a Charidi fellow helped me someone from Bnei Brak. I have posted this before.
There are different communities and we should point out the problems, it doens’t mean it’s bashing.
I happen to think that the spitters and excrement throwers, learn their attitudes from within their communities, that they are not just ‘meshugenes’ this does not make me anti charidi. it is based on my experience living in Beis Yistroel, Monsey, and visiting Beis Shemesh where my sister lived at one time.January 2, 2012 5:41 pm at 5:41 pm #840909kfbParticipant
Health please read my post before you put in your 2 cents. First I said this is how true chareidim feel, by true chareidim I mean the bloggers in the coffee room. Then I went on to defend the site. Do I need to explain everything I say?January 2, 2012 5:55 pm at 5:55 pm #840910Jersey JewParticipant
1. I dont see it that way at all. YWN is reporting the news as it comes from other sources. They report and you decide. If you want to believe everything hook, line, and sinker, you should watch CNN or something like that.
I dont see any “chareidi” – I refer to them as Shomrai Torah U’Mitzvos – bashing here at all. As is the case with all blogs, if you dont like what a poster says, please disagree. When do so, please make a solid argument, not that you will change the commenter’s opinion but you may sway someone else to your thought process.January 2, 2012 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #840911
adams -“again what is Chareidi bashing?”
I’m not going to go into all the posts that have been posted -you can read them yourselves. I’ll give a general example -posters stating that all Charedim should be blamed for the spitting incident -not just a few! This is called collective blame. This occurred in Pre-war Europe – that the Goyim blamed all Jews for a few Shylocks. There was a purpose to this incitement and the end result was the Holocaust.
