    It’s not me, it’s my silver that the problem – it can’t keep its colour. 🙂

    Seriously, though, I don’t consider it a good thing if my silver was always shining and everything squeaky clean and neat. With young children around, it would mean they were losing out.

    It probably depends how exposed your silver is. I leave my candlesticks out and they turn purple. The other pieces of silver are in a cabinet, though not hermetically sealed, and aren’t quite as bad.

    In winter they tarnish quicker, due to the heating.

    er, how about less coffee[room] and more sleep 🙂

    I can’t manage with less than 6 hours a day. How do you do it?

    I have heard of the aluminium tip, but have never tried it. It sounded too easy, so I assumed there was a down-side to it.

    Can it be used on all items – does it spoil the finish?

    Yep, so do I. I was thinking that maybe all the Josephs were created by YW to add spice to and interest in the CR.

    Poster <I always wonder why posters announce that they are planning to leave or not to post for a given time. Why not just do what u have to?>

    I guess the same reason posters announce anything they announce – the CR is for chatting. 🙂 if someone is a longtime member, why should he/she just disappear without announcing it?

    Eclipse – I’ve been lurking in the CR quite a while and have followed your posts with interest. You seem just the type of person I would love to get to know personally (though there’s not much chance of that).

    So hatzlacha, but don’t leave us.

    And yes – I shouldn’t be here, I should be cleaning for Pesach, but it’s so much more interesting here.
