    BTGuy, the problem is though that people are still going to use those glue traps. If they are then the least they can do is make the animal’s death quick and painless, which is why I recommended head trauma for those kinds of situations.

    Put the trap in a plastic bag and find a blunt object. Squish the head. The animal is dead instantly. Your squeamishness is no excuse for suffering. Even poison is more humane. And the poison you describe doesn’t work like that, it’s an anticoagulant. When animals drink too much, their stomachs don’t burst either. Not unless someone had a little funnel and force-fed them?

    I sincerely hope those of you who use glue traps have the decency and common sense to put the animal out of its misery before throwing them out.

    If you don’t, then you have no business using glue traps.
