You should care about what the government is doing. You do realize the IRS scandel just happened. The government targeted conservative and tea party groups. Maybe the government isn’t going to do anything to you because you are just sharing a cholent recipe with your friend. However, what is stopping them from targeting conservative groups AGAIN? Stop thinking about how this DIRECTLY affects you, and start realizing that this can easily change your life INDIRECTLY.
Hey, I once asked a Shal-Umeshiv at Nesivos Ahron to explain what’s the purpose of the yeshiva. He told me that it’s mostly for guys that went to Machon Yaakov or Machon Shlomo(Baal Teshuva professionals) that need to take the next step. I believe they base their learning mehalech on R’ Yaakov Friedman’s yeshiva in Beitar.
You can try Nesivas Ahron-it’s in Meah Sharim. My friend went there and really enjoyed his time there.
