Thanks everyone for their opinions and help. I guess I was asking more for advice on the practicalities of making the move, not whether or not we should move. We have decided that we want to move. There are other reasons besides from the costs and amenities why we want to move as well.

I hear what your saying yehudayona. The ikkur reason isn’t the amenities its the cost.

My wife is also on board we both feel the same way. Our son is only 15 months and hasn’t started school yet so there is not much to uproot.

Thanks for the replies. I have looked on Google. From my understanding the main ways to immigrate are through a job offer, or family sponsorship, or a the lottery visa. My brother married an American but I don’t think he can sponsor me in till he is a US Citizen, right now he is only a permanent resident.

We live in the Toronto area and have 1 son. CVS I don’t think the community is lacking its just not comparable to a Monsey, Lakewood or Brooklyn in terms of the amount of kollelim, mikvos, sefarim stores, grocery stores etc. I love the idea of catching a mariv at 3am if the need arises. Also in our area it is heavily populated by non jews so all the cars on shabbos distracts from the Kedusha.
