There was a Rav Karelenstein from Eretz Yisroel who used to say Vaadim occasionally in the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Does anyone know what his first name was?

Not sure where you live, but in Flatbush I know there are vibrant sephardic chareidi kehilot and yeshibot. I used to tsulee frequently in the sephardic/edot hamizrach kenesiyot when I was in yeshiva there and I enjoyed the havara and nusach. I miss it now that i live in an entirely ahkenaz community.
No you cannot make up your own rules.

Yes, I remember the Rebbe, I used to daven there occasionally when I learned in yeshiva in the area. I don’t have any other info about your question.
I have heard Rav Schnebalg speak here in New York. He does speak nicely and seems very sincere.
Don’t know. It’s possible that one’s ancestors were Rebbes and the other’s were Rabbonim. Or perhaps Rav Schnebalg married an ainikel of the Veretzky Rebbes.
