White Gang Beats Black Teen While Shouting ‘Obama’

racism.jpgFurious that Barack Obama had been elected president, four white teens beat a black Muslim with a baseball bat on Election night, the teen says.

Ali Kamara, 17, told police he was walking home at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, when four white men leaped from a car and attacked him.

“I see the car coming. They looked at me and said, ‘Obama!’ They were not happy. They had hoodies on. They started hitting me with bats and my body started vibrating,” the Curtis High School student told the Daily News.

Kamara managed to break free of his attackers and jump over a neighbor’s fence, eventually making it back to his Stapleton home.

“I was bleeding all over. I did not know them,” the teen told the News. “I think it was a racist crime.”

An NYPD spokesman said the department’s Hate Crime Task Force was investigating the incident as a bias crime.

Kamara’s mother, a health care employee, got a frantic call from her injured son while she was at work.

“He was whispering, ‘I’m bleeding. They beat me with a baseball bat. I’m dying. I’m dying.’ I was so worried,” his mom Janeba Ladepo, 36, told the News.

“My son does not deserve to get hit like this. For someone to say Obama and hit him, it sounds racist,” she said.

The family moved to the Island from Liberia in 2000.

  1. I read I forgot where that there was a surge of membership in Neo-Nazi groups on the West Coast. There may be a racist backlash to an Obama presidency.

  2. This is bound to happen. I’m sure that there are a long percentage who didn’t vote for Obama solely because of his race.

  3. Maybe, but we cannot allow that to deny opportunity where earned. Regardless of what one thinks of Sen. Obama as a person/politician/president-elect, his election says volumes about the United States – one generation past the Civil Rights Act, look what has been achieved.

  4. As a McCain supporter and a realist the election is over. I would have liked it to go the other way but it simply didn’t. Violence againt others that is unprovoked is totally unacceptable. This is the USA we don’t live like that and act like that..wrong is wrong!!

  5. If there’s a surge in membership of neo nazi groups it will effect us yidden as well. they hate us more than they hate blacks.

  6. Flatbush Bubby – I hope you are not surprised, taking into account the violent racist sentiments that so many Yidden proudly vomit up on this site.

  7. That this stuff goes on anywhere in this country is outrageous. It shows that even though the USA is no longer racist, some of its citizens still are.

The bottom line is that the Secret Service and the FBI need to protect BHO and even if I may not agree with some of his policies, he is our next president. We need to protect him, help him and give him a chance to succeed.

I’m happy for the blacks in this country. I hope he will serve as a model to black youth to succeed, achieve in school and work hard to gain the blessings available in this country.

    Good Luck President Obama!

  8. ill respond for him

here is a quote from his post there:

“Sure there are exceptions with individuals who don’t like blacks, but INSTITUTIONALLY racism is a long dead animal.”

  9. how sad and discussting i did not vote for O but millions did that means that racism is at least half dead in america and there were no riots against it either

  10. The reverse situation can also occur, so be careful. I was walking in downtown Lakewood yesterday with my baby, and some blacks yelled at me “Go back to Israel, and take your baby carriage with you! We have Obama!”

  11. To No. 13::: It is obvious that it happened in Staten Island, since the article is gleaned from the Staten Island Register.

No surprise – the Irish and Italian hoods who populate much of S.I. are indeed unabashed and unashamed of their racism, antisemitism, and homophobia. The three go together. Nearly all the time.
