4:30PM (Tuesday): The Monticello Police Department was in foot pursuit just a short time ago, and chasing a black male in possession of a gun. The suspect may be responsible for multiple armed robberies in the area in the past few days – as was reported by YWN Catskills.

Sources tell YWN Catskills that a gun may have been dropped by the suspect as he was running on North Woods Street and Cottage Street.

The suspect is believed to have ran into the wooded area at that location.

The NY State Police as well as the Sullivan County Sheriff Department are on the scene as well.
