BIDEN’S AMERICA: Gas Hits $7.59 A Gallon In California Town

Gas keeps getting more and more expensive, especially in California. But perhaps nowhere is it pricier than the remote central coast community of Gorda.

The town’s only gas station is offering regular unleaded for $7.59. Premium is nearly $8.50.

The town has long been known for having some of the highest prices in the country. A sign at the gas station notes the next nearest station is 40 miles away to the north and 12 miles to the south.

Gorda is located along the Big Sur coast, about 40 minutes north of San Simeon.

  1. There were gas stations in NYC in Manhattan selling gasoline at over $6.00 a gallon during the Trump administration and housing prices spiking beyond what any family could afford? Was that “Trump’s America'”?? These silly headlines obviously play well for a segment of the YWN readership but really are not meaningful or relevant. I don’t recall headlines about “Tens of Thousand Dying from Covid in Trump’s America while he continues to insist it will “just disappear soon”.

  2. On the same day the photo was taken, the average price across all of Monterey County was $4.59 per gallon. There’s no other gas station for dozens of miles around. It’s called capitalism.

  3. Trump seems to vetted for the fools, like above, fools voted for Bennet for what….same fools always the same…Biden is the Biggest Joke of all but then so is America..

  4. The Democrats made it clear the carbon consumption is an evil they wish to eradicate. They said they would force people to burn less oil, and they are keeping their promise as any good capitalist would, by raising the price and letting the law of supply and demand do the rest. The only reason this article is newsworthy is that it reveals a politician keeping a campaign promise (something one doesn’t see every day).
