This is the dumbest petition I have ever seen. I drive the GSP and there are many places on the GSP where the speed limit should be reduced not increased. I personally try to take route 9 if I drive to Brooklyn at night.
Are they talking about a maximum (go no faster than 55) or a minimum (go no slower than 40)? During the day, the factor determining speed is congestion, not speed limits.
