Williamsburg Shomrim on Thursday afternoon were called to a scene of the third bias crime in the past week. Today’s incident involved hateful graffiti scrawled in the hallway and elevator of 544 Park Avenue, near Sanford Street. The NYPD was called to the scene to investigate.
The first Hate Crime this week occurred on Sunday, followed by a string of Swastikas painted on homes on Tuesday night. In a statement following the Tuesday night crime, NYC Councilmember Bill de Blasio stated that “he will continue to work with the police to do everything possible to find out who is responsible for this and put an end to this disturbing pattern of hateful acts”.
As of now, no arrests have been made in any of the incidents.
