Earlier this week, Ezra Friedlander, CEO of The Friedlander Group, was in an elevator with U.S. Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer, and filmed a short conversation he had with the leading Democrat.
“I am inside an elevator with Senator Chuck Schumer”, Friedlander says in the video.
“Senator, everyone loves you.
“This Senator does so much for the Jewish community. I am saying it publicly. You always have.
“This is not my opinion. This is a fact.
“G-d bless you Senator”.

What an idiot, I guess he does not how to read numbers, Shumer lost every frum area to an unknown.
Memo to Friedlander, don’t be a suck-up, it eliminates what little credibility you have left and that is darn little.

Shumer is a tinuk shenishba brought up as a secular Jew and with leftist ideology. However, he sticks up for our people.
When Jerry Nadler signed on Obama’s dangerous Iran deal (and Ezra Friedlander had the chutzpa to defend him), Chuck Shumer did not sign that dangerous treaty.
Chuck may be left but he always is on our side. So please think what’s more important: rightist ideology or loyalty to his Jewish nation?

We did the right thing. My family and I all voted for the African American male, Joe Pinion, for US Senate against the white Chuck Schumer.

This is NOT a fact. No one likes him. He’s an anti-Semite and hates anything and anyone with morals.
I no that it’s no longer popular in the frum community to be courteous and appreciative to Democratic congressmen but it is true that Chuck Schumer has done a lot for the frum over his long career. Just recently in 2021 he pushed to include more funding for Yeshivas and private schools.
I miss the times when the frum community was more levelheaded when it came to politics.
Misleading headline, which is becoming more frequent on YWN lately. He said it’s a fact that Schumer has done so much for the Jewish community. Not that it’s a fact that all Jews love him. Maybe, correctly, some don’t think he’s done enough, but he has definitely come through for us many times.
I would hate to running my yiddishe household on parnasah based on such acts, for so many years…

Friedlander speaks for no one.
Schumer at one point in time (particularly when he was in congress and frum people were a much higher percent of his voters) was in fact a very strong supporter of the frum community and Jewish causes.
As time went on and the Democratic party as a whole moved further away from compatibility with doing so he became less supportive. Unlike others, however, he never became hostile and can still be counted on for support on occasion. That is about as much as you can hope to get out of a NY democrat these days. No need to crazy suck up to him but it’s still important to keep a cordial relationship, appreciate the good that does occasionally do and not burn bridges

That said, I do not care for Schumer and I did not vote for him. However, I know for a fact that most of the funding that we as a community receive from the federal government is only because of Schumer. I don’t like him and his liberal policies, but that doesn’t mean he does not do much for us.
Years ago I had multiple conversations with Ezra Friedlander as he defended and promoted Jerry Nadler’s position to vote in favour of the Iran nuclear deal. At some point we spoke on the phone and Ezra the “publicist “ hanged up on me even though I was being level headed.
Years later I wrote a letter to Ami magazine that was not printed, criticizing them for publishing articles connected to Ezra Friedlander that was clearly a conflict of interest. To Ami’s credit they have not posted articles related to Ezra Friedlander since.
Regarding Chuck Shumer and Ezra Friedlander, with friends like that who needs enemies?
