Brooklyn, NY – As part of the annual �Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries� campaign, the FDNY Fire Safety Education Unit in conjunction with the New York Rescue Response Team (NYRRT) will be distributing FREE 9-volt batteries and fire safety materials at the following two Brooklyn locations:

Williamsburg: Tuesday March 9th 11:00 – 3:00pm at Lee Ave. between Williamsburg Street East and Williamsburg Street West.

Boro Park: Thursday March 11th 11:00 – 3:00 PM at 13th Avenue and 49th Street (in front of Blue Dish Cafe).

This campaign is aimed at promoting fire safety awareness and reminding New Yorkers about the importance of having a working smoke alarm / carbon monoxide detector in their homes.

The batteries are donated by the FDNY Foundation, which supports equipment, training and education initiatives.
