It is with great sadness that we alert the community that 82 year-old Mr. Binder who who went missing earlier this week (as was reported HERE on YW) was found deceased today. Shomrim of Baltimore thanks the entire community for all of their efforts in trying to locate him.

Where was he found?
Mr. Binder a’h was 82 years old, had dementia, and had gone missing. I do not have specific information, but the weather in Baltimore this past week has reached into the 90s with heat indexes creeping near and past 100 degrees. It is altogether possible that the weather, coupled with Mr. Binder a’h congnitive issues and his inability to speak English, created a deadly circumstance without foul play.
The body and brain are masterful, wonderous, and delicate creations. We say asher yatzar how many times a day, and for good reason – the functioning of the human body as an integrated unit, complicated and self-energizing so as to evidence that only Divine wisdom could have wrought this from the Earth; the memory of Mr. Binder a’h should serve to remind us all of the fragility of our conditions, and spur us to kindness, compassion, and understanding for others.
