Residents of London’s Stamford Hill chareidi community were shocked this morning, Tuesday, 14 Shevat 5772 seeing their shul was broken into some time during the night. The mispallalim summoned police and quickly learned authorities received a total of eight calls of similar break-ins.
One of the askanim is quoted anonymously by Chadrei Chareidim, stating “the entire community is in shock. During the night, eight shuls were targeted. The thieves perpetrated a pogrom and stole valuable items and did considerable damage”. Police are investigating.
