A 74-year-old Jewish male was bludgeoned to death with a hammer in Morocco on Monday evening, 3 Nissan 5772, Israeli media sources report. The victim�s name is reported to be Binyamin Fredo HY�D. The limited information available states the victim was hit over the head with a metallic hammer. At present, it does not appear that the attack is being labeled a hate crime.

The victim was gravely injured and died a short time later in a local hospital. Local media reports from Morocco state the victim worked collecting rent from tenants in stores owned by a Jewish landlord. An investigation is underway and state officials have ordered an autopsy.
