Israel: The Story of Two Carjackings


An Israeli motorist traveling on Highway 443, the Jerusalem-Modi’in Highway was carjacked by Arabs on Sunday night, near Beit Horon. The attackers assaulted the driver and succeeded in making off with his Toyota Corolla. The number of carjackings by PA (Palestinian Authority) residents has been on the rise, reach alarming proportions.

In the incident which occurred earlier in the day, in the Southern Hebron Hills area, a truck driver was assaulted with a metallic rod by a number of Arabs tried to make off with his vehicle near Yatir.

Despite being injured and thrown from the truck, the injured male, in his 50s, pulled his licensed handgun and opened fire, killing two of the carjackers. A third assailant succeeded in fleeing the area. Police are investigating.
