State Witness in Holyland Brought 1.5 Million to Olmert

The state’s main witness against the primary defendants in the Holyland trial told the court that he personally brought a total sum of 1.5 million NIS and expensive cigars to for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s office when he served as Jerusalem mayor, from 1993-1999. There are over 13 defendants in the case.

Olmert’s attorney told the media he is confident that he will discredit the state witness in the cross examination.

  1. Isn’t it nice that the people who run Eretz Yisrael share with each other. It shows they learned something in preschool.

P.S. Okay, they also picked up the idea of sharing other people’s stuff without even having to ask, but that’s a different issue.

  2. I find it wierd that the supposedly frum people commenting on this site feel there’s nothing wrong with saying loshon hara about other Jews. Even if you think that what you’re saying isn’t loshon hara, it certainly is deragatory & wrong. I know you don’t agree with the State, the leaders, etc but they still are Jews. Honestly, you shouldn’t speak like this about anyone – it just shows poorly about yourself and the frum world.

I don’t like Olmert because of his politics. And, if he did do something illegal he’ll pay the price through the legal system. What’s the benefit for you to go around speaking like this about him??
