Masked intruders broke into a northern IDF base, attacked soldiers and made off with their weapons. Military officials report four automatic weapons were taken, admitting there was a serious breach in base security, which is under investigation.

Ynet report the intrusion occurred at the Naftali base in the area of Golani Junction, early Friday morning. The soldiers attacked were tied up before the intruders fled.

Seeking to prevent such instances, the military is installing an advanced system in many military installations nationwide at the expense of 7 million NIS.
