Responding to allegations made by Labor Party leader MK Shelly Yacimovich, Teva Pharmaceuticals officials reported the company pays 3 billion NIS annually in direct and indirect taxes, which is estimated at 750 million in 2012, Globes reports.
Last week, Yacimovich accused Teva of paying �negligible taxes� and questioned why this is so.
Teva officials responded by boasting the company�s growth, its contribution to curing many illnesses, as well as providing jobs and revenue in Israel by establishing R & D and other facilities. Teva is linked to suppliers and contractors that supply 40,000 jobs officials add.
