According to media reports, millions of locusts have arrived in Egypt a few short weeks ahead of Pesach. The infestation being described as a �plague� hit during the weekend, with the locusts landing in the area of the pyramids, known as the Giza region. Estimates by experts speak of �millions�, emphasizing the use of the term is not exaggerated in this case. Some estimates are as high as 30 million spread out over 15-20 miles resulting in devastation for farmers.

Authorities have instructed area residents to distance themselves from the area, including vehicles.
