5:30PM (Friday): Around the same time as the drowning in Ichud Bungalow Colony, a 14-year-old Bochur in Machne Karlin Stolin in Highland, NY was pulled out of a swimming pool. The local EMS in Ulster County was called to the scene, and he was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

UPDATE Motzei Shabbos: Sources at Camp Stolin tell YWN Catskills that the Bochur is B”H in stable condition, and will hopefully be released from the hospital in another day or so. Special thanks to the Paramedic who resides in the camp Moshe Hanig, who is responsible for saving this young mans life.

I believe the correct way to express this is to say the “near drowning”. B”H these children did not “drown” or we would be talking about Levaya’s not release dates from the hospital.
