Firebomb Attack at German Newspaper that Printed Mohammed Cartoons


arrest2The offices of the Hamburger Morgenpost in Hamburg were targeted in a firebomb attack after the newspaper reprinted the Mohammed cartoons from the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. According to reports from Europe, the attackers first threw a rock to break a window, followed by a firebomb.

Following the murders of 12 people in the attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, the Morgenpost ran a headline “This much freedom must be possible” along with three cartoons from Charlie Hebdo.

Police report there were no injuries in the attack, which took place at 01:20 on Sunday 20 Teves. Two people have been detained for questioning.
