Uber Announces Amber Alert Program In NYC

Person using the Uber appUber says its drivers in New York City will now be able to be on the lookout for missing children.

The ride-hailing service announced Wednesday that it was partnering with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to provide its drivers with Amber Alerts.

It says it has 30,000 drivers in New York City who could get the child abduction emergency notifications.

The company says the program is part of a larger national partnership with NCMEC.
