A couple visiting their children in the northern Shomron on Wednesday evening, the eve of 28 Kislev, was wounded in a terrorist shooting attack near the community of Avnei Chafetz.

The husband, in his 60s, was listed in serious condition on Thursday morning with a number of surgeries scheduled during the day. The wife was lightly wounded and in stable condition.

It is reported that the NIS 10 coin seen in the photo, along with a bottle of water, were struck by a bullet that would have injured the wife far more seriously but the coin and water bottle deflected the bullet.

The couple remains hospitalized in Beilinson Hospital.
