1,566 flats of eggs containing 47,000 eggs originating from the PA (Palestinian Authority), bearing forged inspection stamps, were found in a storage facility in the Beit Haninah area of Jerusalem. they were intended for delivery to Machane Yehuda shuk. City veterinarian Dr. Assaf Brill signed the order to destroy the eggs on Tuesday, 11 Nissan as they are labeled “dangerous for human consumption”.

If such eggs were kept refrigerated, why are they contraband and a danger to human health? A chicken is a chicken.
No one knows if they were kept refrigerated. Or if the chickens that hatched them were healthy, or any other health regulation. Would you eat eggs that had no health certification that were smuggled in from Somalia or Liberia?
