Police on Independence Day morning responded to a vandalism attack in the military section of Har HaZeisim. It appears extremist chareidim set wreaths that was placed on kevarim on fire.
The vandals fled the area when police arrived.

Repugnant and despicable chilul shaim shomayim! I just heard a shiur from R’ Yechiel Spero, that a bachur asked Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach to go to the north to daven at kivrei tzaddikim, he said better to stay in yeshiva and learn. The bachur pressed the issue, Rav Shlomo Zalman said when I want to daven by kivrei tzaddikim, I go to the local military cemetery to those who gave their lives al kiddush H-shem! A true Gadol in every sense.
