New York State troopers will once again be on the lookout for cell phone users behind the wheel.
The crackdown starts on Monday and runs until Thursday. Some drivers in Rockland County voiced their support for the initiative, given how often they spy fellow motorists taking their eyes off the road.
The New York State Thruway Authority said a year ago in their crackdown on phones and gadgets at the wheel, troopers handed out nearly 900 tickets just on the Thruway in a few days.
An infraction earns a driver a $100 fine plus a $60 surcharge.
