PHOTOS: 16-Year-Old Critical Following Ramot, Jerusalem Hit And Run

A 16-year-old boy was struck and critically injured by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Mirsky Street in the Ramot area of Jerusalem on Thursday, 2 Elul. The gravely injured child was transported by MDA paramedics to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

CPR and advanced life support were performed and his pulse returned prior to reaching the hospital.

Police report the accident occurred near Golda Meir Blvd.

Hadassah Hospitals spokesperson Hadar Elboim reports the child is listed in critical condition.

Police report the driver has been later located and was taken into custody. Police say that accident investigators used “technological means” to locate the driver, who fled the scene.
