PHOTOS: MK Glick Visits Har Habayis To Mark The Shloshim Of His Wife

Marking the Shloshim of his wife Yafa A”H, MK (Likud) Yehuda Glick on Tuesday, 14 Shevat, visited Har Habayis.

Glick, a long time Har Habayis activist, has been prevented from visiting the holy site regularly as was his practice before becoming a MK due to the prohibition placed on MKs and cabinet ministers visiting the holy site. Glick follows his Rabbis who argue on all the Poskei HaDor and believe one may visit if ones prepares oneself in line with halacha, to learn which places are prohibited to walk on. to immerse in an appropriate mikve and remove leather garments.

Gedolei Yisrael over the generations, including the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, prohibit visiting Har Habayis, which they explain carries the punishment of karess.
