VIDEO/PHOTOS: Israel Police Continue Pre-Purim Crackdown On Dangerous Toys

Israel Police investigations have resulted in the apprehension of 132 guns and rifles and thousands of plastic bullets defined as ‘dangerous toys’.

“Every year ahead of Purim, we encounter various injuries, especially among children and teenagers, as a result of the illegal use of dangerous toys, and yet, there are still persons who continue to distribute these items to the marketplace” a police spokesman explains.

Israel Police Moriah Division youth detectives conducted a search in Southern Jerusalem in the home of the vendor they found 132 pistols, air guns made of metal and plastic, as well as thousands of toy bullets. Everything was confiscated, and the 35-year-old vendor was taken into custody and questioned by agents.
