Magen David Adom received the call for a serious car accident on Route 5 in Shomron between Ariel and the Oranit Checkpoint. Paramedics operating on the scene pronounced a man in his 40s dead on the scene. Two other victims sustained light injuries.
Mordechai Levy, a United Hatzalah volunteer EMT who was among the first responders at the scene said: “The crash involved a truck and a private car. When I arrived at the scene I found one person critically injured. Together with other EMS personnel I performed CPR on the injured person to try to resuscitate him. However, despite prolonged life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Our volunteers did treat another person moderately injured in the crash. The driver of the truck left under his own power without requiring medical attention.”
