Israel on Thursday night, the eve of 7 Nissan, will change to daylight savings time, moving clocks one hour ahead at 2:00AM. As a result, the time difference between Jerusalem and New York City will once again be seven hours.

Interior Minister Aryeh Deri commented, �Spring has arrived and beginning this coming week, we will move to daylight savings time, an additional hour of daylight which will assist the economy and bring a large savings of energy � a good move for the tzibur at large�.
