Israel Police have increased the number of points one receives on one�s drivers license for a number of violations of vehicular law. The following News 2 video explains:

� Driving without a license: was 8 points and is now 10

� Refusing a breathalyzer test was 8 points and is now 10

� Irresponsible driving was 6 points and is now 8

� Not having a proper safety seat was 6 points and is now 8

� Speaking on the phone without a hands-free device was 4 and is now 8

� Left turn U turn where prohibited was 0 points and is now 6

� Riding a motorcycle without a helmet was 0 points and is now 6

� Riding without a seatbelt was 2 points and is now 4

� Exiting the vehicle without the required reflective vest was 0 points and is now 2

� Requirement for safe driving course: 12 points

� Requirement for advanced course: 24-35 points within 4 years

� 36 or more points within four years results in automatic suspension of one�s license for three months
