PHOTOS: Pedestrian Struck And Killed By A Truck On Jerusalem’s Betzalel Street

A pedestrian was struck by a truck on Bezalel Street in Jerusalem on Sunday around noontime. The victim sustained serious injury. Police detained the truck driver for questioning.

Magen David Adom reports that a man about 50 was struck and found under the truck upon their arrival. The truck had to back up a bit in order to extricate the victim from underneath.

Paramedics transported him in very serious/unstable condition, intubated and sedated, to the trauma unit of Shaare Zedek Hospital.

The victim was pronounced dead shortly following his arrival in the trauma unit.
