Israel: Students Who Sold Exams Taken Into Custody By Police


Central district police have detained eight suspects who are believed to have sold academic papers on the internet in exchange for hundreds of shekels. Police stress this is fraud and actions against integrity which are not tolerable, raiding the homes of the suspects on Monday morning, 26 Tammuz. They were taken for questioning.

Following the undercover investigation, police moved in during the early morning hours, raiding eight different homes and taken all eight suspects in for questioning, all alleged to have sold academic papers via the internet. It is added the clandestine probe began about a year ago, after complaints were received from representatives of one of the universities in Israel against companies selling academic work on the internet.

Police report the eight suspects range in age from 30-to-60, from various cities in Israel.
