(VIDEO & PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, 5 Menachem Av, visited the Gaza border area for a security assessment. Accompanying the Prime Minister were Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott, Shin Bet Chief Nadav Argaman , and other senior commanders.

PM Netanyahu said, “Today is the fourth anniversary of the fall of Hadar Goldin. We are committed to returning him and Oron Shaul and our two citizens back to the State of Israel.

“Today is the fourth anniversary of when the late Hadar Goldin fell in action. We are committed to bringing him and Oron Shaul, and the two civilians, back to the State of Israel.

I visited Sderot yesterday and I saw the iron wall of their civilian determination and today I am visiting the IDF here, together with the Defense Minister, the Chief-of-Staff, GOC Southern Command and the Director of the ISA. I saw our military iron wall.

We are in a campaign that entails an exchange of blows and I can tell you that the IDF is ready for any scenario. I was very impressed by what I saw here and I know that like me, every Israeli citizen believes in the IDF and gives it their backing ahead of any possible development.”

In response to the question ”Do you [plural] believe that it is possible to resolve the crisis without an extensive campaign?” Prime Minister Netanyahu replied: “I believe that we are doing the right things. It would be worthwhile to pay attention, not only to what we are saying, but to what we are doing.”

DM Lieberman told the media, “The IDF is ready and prepared for every mission we take. I met the commanders and the fighters, I was very impressed by the readiness and the motivation.

“If we have to go into battle, we can defeat any enemy. The IDF knows what to do, how to do it and when to do it, we will determine the rules of the game and no one else.”

This Nationality Law potentially can very positive. However it needs to be taken apart and weighed and clearly elaborated piece by piece. Else it could end up as the Basic Law of 1992 which was turned by the Bagat”z into the opposite
of what it was passed for ,and a disaster

Before the The Nationality Law should be approved ,First it should be decided who is covered by it .In other words who is of the Jewish Nationality
    Mi Yehudi?
And more Importantly who is to stripped of it i.e. Converts to other religions, certain egregious heinous behaviors, etc.

On the other hand,as tirtza said
    This law stinks
Anything that would actually implement Jewish Nationality has been removed,
All the vague wordings that will give the secular state power over private and religious matters are all that remain.
Just look who brought up this bill.
It was propsed by MK Avi Dichter, a former ISA Director.
This man has also widened the scope of surveillence in Israel.
This guy is a lot smarter than Naftali Bennet and other nationalists who got tricked into thinking this may be a good idea.
The PM is pushing it, while at the same time threatening the charedim, if they don’t support this.
One would think that such an important Basic Law should be granted very ample time to go over all the ramifications of it.
