Israel Foreign Ministry Rescues 4 Israeli Women In Georgia


The Israel Foreign Ministry reports the successful extrication operation of four Israeli parachutists who lost their way Monday night during a trek during stormy weather in Georgia.

The travelers made contact via satellite phone and reported that they had lost their way. After a few unsuccessful attempts to rescue them due to heavy fog, a helicopter landed later and evacuated the four women to continue medical treatment in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

The rescue operation was carried out in cooperation between the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israeli Embassy in Georgia and the Magnus Rescue Company,
