Israel: Chief Rabbi Lau Gave Over 200 Chizzuk Speeches Before Yom Kippur


Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau on erev Yom Kippur completed a major undertaking, as he traveled the country in an effort to reach as many Jews as he could, seeking to give them chizuk before Yom Kippur, working to stir the spark in the Jewish heart ahead of the Yom HaDin.

In his amazing effort, Rav Lau delivered over 200 addresses in forty different venues around Israel, including yishuvim, moshavim, and kibbutzim, covering many communities from the north to southern Israel. Kikar Shabbos News adds that the Chief Rabbi was received warmly in many of the locations, especially since a Chief Rabbi has not made an appearance some of the communities for decades.

Among the venues visited were Ramle, Rehovot, Modi’in, Bnei Brak, Yerushalayim, Nes Tziona, Tiveria, Bat Yam, Kiryat Ono, Petach Tikva, Rishon L’tzion, Maale Chever, Yatir, Peduel, Chamra, Kibbutz S’dei Eliyahu, Beit Shean, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Talel, Akko, Kibbutz Shalavim, Maale Adumim, Hashmonaim, Mevassert Tzion, Holon, Charish, Kfar Pines, Herzliya and Sderot.
