School Will Not Be Closed For Jerusalem Runoff Mayoral Elections

Some Jerusalem schools are preparing for the runoff elections, which are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 5 Kislev. Unlike the situation on the first Election Day, schools will operate on regular schedule next week.

Several meetings have taken place with relevant persons ahead of the ballot boxes and other equipment being placed in the schools where voting will take place. The logistics involve personnel in the education system, City Hall, election officials and of course, police.

It was decided that schools would not take off to avoid losing a second day of studies for students.
