Chabad Launches A ‘Mehudar’ Mezuzah Campaign For Every Tel Aviv Home

The new Chabad campaign in Tel Aviv is the Mezuzah Week campaign, which is getting underway towards permitting city residents to have their mezuzos checked free of charge and if they wish, they will be able to purchase a mehudar mezuzah for a minimal fee.

Rabbi Yosef Gerlitzky, the shaliach to Tel Aviv/Yaffo, announced the campaign, which aims to ensure that each Jew in the city has the opportunity to have his home protected by a mehudar mezuzah.

Rabbi Gerlitzky emphasizes the importance of the mitzvah of mezuzah for Yidden throughout the generations, “a testimony to the world that a Jew lives in the home, proudly displaying this fact in keeping with the tradition of our forefathers”.

The rav stresses the campaign intends to offer every resident of the city to avail himself of a kosher/mehudar mezuzah, at a minimal price. He explains the new mezuzos will be sold at 25% of their regular price in the hope the residents will be taking advantage of the opportunity. There will be over 35 stations set up to accommodate residents in areas of the city.
