After a period of relative quiet, confrontations between young Gazans and Israeli security forces resumed on Sunday evening. The violence was along the border of northern Gaza, and in one incident, east of Jabalya, the young terrorists burned tires to create an atmosphere of acrid black smoke and they then began hurling objects including fireworks at the fence, in the hope of injuring soldiers. Troops responded with non-lethal riot-control means.

B’chasdei Hashem, there were no reported injuries among security forces.
