A Bedouin shepherd was injured in Israel after a balloon bomb exploded near one of the Kibbutzim in the Eshkol region on Sunday evening. The shepherd is in light condition following an injury sustained in the blast.
Earlier in the day a resident of the Regional Council of Merchavim reported seeing balloon bombs in the air. The sighting was followed a few minutes later by a report of a fire bursting in the area. Security personnel are checking to see if the fire began as a result of the balloons.
The IAF retaliated by destroying two Hamas lookout posts in the souther Gaza strip. The response came a result of Gazans wreaking havoc ont he border fence in the area and throwing bombs at security forces nearby.
