Chareidi Man Struck & Killed By A Train Near Kiryat Gat


A 24-year-old chareidi pedestrian was struck and killed by a train near Kiryat Gat on motzei Shabbos.

According to the United Hatzalah report, EMS personnel has no choice but to pronounce the victim dead on the scene.

EMT Yanki Weinberg explained that one of the United Hatzalah volunteers with a 4 X 4 vehicle assisted and they found the lifeless body of the victim after about 30 minutes of searching in the dark.

Israel Railways issued a statement “A man entered the tracks without authorization in the Kiryat Gat area and apparently was struck by a passing train. An Israel Railways team operated on the scene along with MDA and police personnel.”

The passengers on that train were moved to another train and passengers on the following train were moved to buses.
